Terms of Service

These terms describe how merchants may use AI Catalog Optimizer.

App purpose

AI Catalog Optimizer helps Shopify merchants audit product catalog data, generate AI-assisted product content suggestions, preview diffs, apply supported product updates, and review ChangeLog records.

Merchant review required

AI suggestions are optional. Merchants are responsible for reviewing all suggested content before applying any change to Shopify. The app does not silently write product changes.

Supported and preview-only fields

V1 supports writeback for product title, description HTML, SEO title, SEO description, tags, and product metafields. Image alt text and FAQ suggestions are preview-only in V1.

No guaranteed outcomes

The app does not guarantee search rankings, AI search placement, traffic, conversion, sales, SEO improvement, or other commercial outcomes.

Availability and third parties

The app depends on Shopify APIs, hosting infrastructure, and the configured AI provider. Temporary interruptions or provider failures may affect sync, audit, suggestion generation, or writeback workflows.

Acceptable use

Merchants may not use the app to create misleading, illegal, harmful, infringing, or policy-violating product content.
